About 12 months ago I posted a preview of my Win 7 inspired desktop, at the time threatening that I may upload it. Well that day has come now as I've moved on to the real Win 7, but still got, and use, the antique WinXP machine!
It still has the wide taskbar as previewed as I think it suits the iconised tabs better, also I'm old and blind !!
The Iconised Taskbar is available at Tweaking With Vishal.
Included are the "NormalColor" and "Bottom48" although it was specifically made for the "NormalColor" view. The desktop wallpaper which was cut to match the taskbar and bounce "reflections" off the top and through the taskbar is also included (I think I got that right, looks better in the flesh). This was made on a CRT monitor at 1024x768 resolution but may stretch out for widescreen (would be interesting to know, please).
I also made up an iColorFolder file which I used to change random Aero folder colours.
Inspirational thanks go to: JRD88, who started me off on the "tweak the icons" path, hard work at the time with a basic icon programme (IcoFX). VP dA JJ Vishal, Vher528 to mention a few I can specifically remember.
If anyone’s requiring these then just click on the rather large link!!. They’re all from WinXP SP3 and packed up nicely (in a 13.4mb RAR file) with a Replacer Batch Command. Just one double-click and sit back and sip your favourite tipple !

EDIT The folder icons in the explorer window are from the Vistard EFi posted elsewhere on dA
Strangely, I'm pleasantly surprised at the number of downloads this still gets.
Shows XP is still holding its own.
And Thank you to any and all of you who have downloaded and tried this, even if you didn't like it. It was originally designed as a personal project, designed to please only one person.
Thanks. glad you like it. I originally made it for my own personal use. But when I moved up to Seven I didn't have the heart to "bin" it after all the work I'd put into it! Same goes for all the system files
The Replacer (batch) command (.cmd), batch script(.txt) and Data files have to be in the SAME FOLDER AS THE MODIFIED FILES YOU ARE INSERTING. Not in your system files folder. I always used to tuck mine away and run the .cmd from a shortcut placed in the Quick Launch toolbar.
